One of the very few upsides of COVID-19 was the endless kindness people showed towards one another. Systems everywhere that were in place for such unforeseen emergencies failed to kick in. As a result, everyone felt helpless and was panicking. That exact moment when we were trying to figure out what to do next, a great crisis was looming.

Last month Maggie shared with the world that our Nepali community was facing a humanitarian crisis as nearly 500,000 migrants rushed across the India-Nepal border in an effort to return home to their villages after losing their jobs amidst the COVID-19 lockdown and outbreak. Our team immediately jumped into action— providing food, water, and basic necessities to our Nepali brothers and sisters. Your response to our calls for support was nothing short of overwhelming.
