In a ceremony at the CNI (Confederation of Nepalese Industries) Women’s Leadership Summit last week, BlinkNow CEO and Co-Founder Maggie Doyne was honored as the CNI Inspiring Woman of the Year 2023.

Doyne was honored for her work educating children and empowering women in Nepal since 2007. Together with Tope Malla, she founded BlinkNow and Kopila Valley Children’s Home, Kopila Valley School, and a number of other initiatives in Surkhet, Karnali Province.

On the second day of the conference, Doyne and others participated in a panel discussion of women recognized as Change Agents, answering questions about leadership skills that drive change.

According to CNI, the Women’s Leadership Summit was convened to address, deliberate and find solutions to three key areas of women’s leadership in the aftermath of the COVID-19 pandemic. It is an opportunity for gender equality champions and women leaders to exchange ideas, share strategies, celebrate successes, be encouraged, and learn from each other in a two-day summit that is designed to challenge and inspire.

The BlinkNow Foundation provides an education and a loving, caring home for orphaned, impoverished and at-risk children.  The foundation also provides community outreach to reduce poverty, empower women, improve health, and encourage sustainability and social justice - it fulfills its mission by providing financial support and management oversight to the Kopila Valley Children's Home and Kopila Valley School in Surkhet, Nepal. In addition to the home and school, Kopila Valley runs a Health & Wellness program, Women's Center, Home for At-Risk Students, Futures Career Readiness Program, and integrated Sustainability Program across all initiatives.
