We have some big news in sustainable style – the Kopila Valley Women’s Cooperative has some lovely new gift ideas for you this holiday season!

SHOP BLINKNOW GOODS

Whether you’re shopping for yourself or a friend, you can find fairly-made products that are both beautiful and useful for you to wear or decorate your home. At the same time, you support the Kopila women who are working hard so their families can thrive.

The KVWC women make kitchen linens, scarves, tote bags, and baskets all year from upcycled materials, locally-grown grasses, and all-natural cotton. After several years of making products for BlinkNow’s programs, the women formed their own Cooperative in 2017, and we love what they’re doing! We are especially excited about their new holiday items, which are now up for sale on the BlinkNow Goods web store.

Apekshya Thapa (pictured below) manages the daily operations of the Cooperative and mentors women who are seeking jobs or starting businesses because she believes that, if a woman is given the opportunity to participate equally in society, she will be unstoppable. “We are on a mission to help every woman and girl claim their value and find their voice.”

About this new holiday collection, Apekshya says, “The most amazing thing is that the more you wash the fabrics, the more strong – or we say thick – it becomes.”

We have two new holiday-colored hand towels, some holiday colored table runners and napkins, tote bags, purses and keyrings, and a canvas handwoven basket.
