"I had 4 brothers but all of them have passed away. One could not survive cholera. One was killed during the conflict when the army open fired on a Maoist gathering in our school. He was only 12 and we went to the same class and sat together. One of my brothers was stillborn. After the death of their three sons, father and mother were heartbroken. And with a lot of grief in his heart, father passed away too. It has been 10 years since he has been gone. My life changed after father died. He was the one who sent me to school. "

"It was a love marriage. We went to the same school. We were all friends. We were not shy with each other. He was a simple man. He was never into drugs or cigarettes. He had a difficult childhood as he did not have a mother growing up. So I always had love in my heart for him. I also thought that since he had seen enough life, he will be kind towards me. You see, those who have suffered have empathy and understand the pain of others easily. I was very happy about getting married to him. I felt my wish was fulfilled. He loved me very much."

"I will go get grass. Please prepare food and look after our son', was what he said before he left that day. Cutting grass was something that he did on a daily basis, after all, we need to feed those animals. He would go every morning and evening. After he left, I gathered some vegetables and went into the kitchen after feeding my son. When the food was ready, I waited for him to return. But he did not return home."
