One of the very few upsides of COVID-19 was the endless kindness people showed towards one another. Systems everywhere that were in place for such unforeseen emergencies failed to kick in. As a result, everyone felt helpless and was panicking. That exact moment when we were trying to figure out what to do next, a great crisis was looming.

As you may know, our greater Nepali community has been facing a humanitarian crisis as nearly 500,000 migrants rushed across the India-Nepal border in an effort to return home to their villages after losing their jobs amidst the COVID-19 lockdown and outbreak. These workers and their families faced days of travel without food and water.
