Remembering Grandfather

It is with heavy hearts that we share the news of Stephen Doyne's passing. Steve was Maggie's father, grandfather to the Kopila kids, and a huge supporter of the BlinkNow Foundation. We loved him dearly, and he will be missed. The obituary from his family is below.
Stephen D. Doyne, 66, formerly of Mendham, NJ, passed away suddenly on August 9, 2018 while traveling abroad. Born August 11, 1951, in Wilkes Barre, PA, he was the son of the late Edward J. and Alice Merrill Doyne. He was raised in Willingboro, NJ where he graduated from J F Kennedy High School in 1969 and received a teaching degree from West Chester University in 1973. His siblings, Patricia (Doyne) Smith, Elizabeth (Doyne) Lynch, and Theresa (Doyne) Simpson, also preceded him in death. He is survived by his children, Kate Doyne and partner Charles Cannon, Maggie Doyne and husband, Jeremy Power-Regimbal, Libby Doyne, and one loving granddaughter Ruby Sunshine Power-Regimbal. He is also survived by his brother Ed Doyne and wife, Lorraine, sister Michelle Hoover and husband David, former spouse Nancy O’Connor Doyne and many nieces and nephews. Throughout his life, Steve was an avid athlete and outdoorsman. He was instrumental in the founding of the BlinkNow Foundation. Upon retirement, he was a committed volunteer for the Kopila Valley Children’s Home and School in Surkhet, Nepal where he was affectionately known as “Grandfather” to over 350 children.
