Magdalena and the Kopila Women
Magdalena Long is a designer, educator and avid traveler. After studying communication design at Pratt Institute in New York she has worked in fashion, advertising and travel publishing. In 2008 she and her partner opted to settle in Vietnam for two years where she taught design theory and creativity techniques at RMIT in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. Upon returning to the U.S. in late 2010 Magdalena actively seeks opportunities to meld creativity, education and social change into one mission.
From Maggie: Magdalena is meticulously organized, hard working, goal oriented and an absolute blast to have around. She has incredible leadership skills and has taken on launching our women's center, shaping our curriculum, putting a management team together, and helping me create an overall vision and master plan for the Kopila women's center. You can find Magdalena around here with her moleskine notebook and a cup of coffee. She means business! Having her here at this crucial time, while starting a women's center and launching our pilot project has been a gift. The future of the women's center is in great hands!
Next up in our Kopila Fellow series: Introducing Brendan, Magdalena's sweet husband!
