When you were little and we did the count off every night before dinner you would literally be the one missing from the table, every single time. One night after the bell rang and we realized you were missing, I went wandering down the hallway of the boys' bedrooms, frustrated because once again you hadn't shown up for dinner and when I got to your room I found you hanging off the top bunk bed upside down with your wrists turned up, swinging and flailing in the air. "I am Spider-Man. I am Spider-Man. I am Spider-Man" you chanted all by yourself as loud as you could in your best Spider-Man voice.

It has been a very busy summer at the Kopila Valley Women’s Center! Twenty women have graduated from our first vocational weaving training group, and twenty new women have just started in the next training group. We currently employ about fifteen women who are the graduates of our first sewing vocational training. They create beautiful clothes out of colorful fabrics on the sewing machines, which then become part of our women's center training store front.

In Nepal momos are a huge part of the culture. Momos are small dumplings that have either a meat or vegetable filling. People in Nepal and India love to eat momos, and especially us Kopila kids! Momos are very special to us, and we only get to eat them on the rare occasions when we go out to eat.

You turned 14 this week! Happy birthday my sweet boy. I know I say this a lot but I really mean it - getting you as a son was like winning the lottery. I don't know what it is about your smile but it makes my heart melt.
You've always been a really genuinely happy kid. It's so rare that I see you upset, except of course when you first came to live with us. You were terrified.
