Dear K,
I swear I just spent the past five minutes staring at your picture and smiling. My favorite thing about you is your laugh. I love when you're telling a story and you start laughing so hard you can't even get the words out and I have no idea what you're trying to say but I start laughing too.
I love seeing you curled up with a book and how you always give me the play by play on what you're reading and what scene you're on. Your bond with your little sister and the way you always look out for her is also the sweetest thing ever. You two are the best of friends and you are an amazing brother not only to your biological sister, but to everyone. You are so good at sharing what you have with your siblings.
Kind is the first word that comes to mind when I think of you. Kind and caring and warm and sensitive. You are also super witty and smart and always have some hilarious clever one liner to drop at family satsung. I don't know how you got so funny. You make us all laugh. You also always stay so true to who you are. You don't care about what's popular or "in." You're just you. I want you to stay just the way you are forever and ever.
I just read this over and it kind of seems like I'm bragging about you. Whatever, you are worth bragging about. You are such an incredible boy and I'm lucky to be your mom. You are going to be studying abroad soon. You earned it kiddo. You thought I was kidding when I told you that you got selected but then I promised it was true and I've never seen you so happy. I wish I could have frozen that moment in time forever. May you always be happy and may you never ever forget how much I love you.
