Dear M, Whenever I can't fall asleep at night I think about your smile and try to play your giggle on repeat over and over again in my head. Your laugh is the best sound in the entire world and you fill our home with it each and every day as part of the Kopila soundtrack.

Shining bright star daughter of mine. I love you more than all the stars in the entire universe. I love how bright you shine and I love watching you grow into such an incredible young woman. Will you please stop growing up so fast? You are my artist, my sweet girl who beats to her own drum and it's a blessing to watch you gracefully learn how to navigate your way through this world. S, My love, my heart, my laughter, my joy. I'm sorry I made you cut your hair. I'm really sorry. You loved your hair and I made you cut it and it wasn't a cool move. "I love my hair more than I love girls," you told me, heartbroken. (You LOVE girls.) It wasn't a parenting moment that I'm proud of and I'll always regret it and yet you still found a way to laugh about it with me and your brothers. Anyways, enough about your hair. I love your laugh and your smile and your perfect teeth and your golden skin and your rock solid heart and how hard you try at math even though it's not your best subject. (It wasn't mine either.)

Dear B, There are no words to describe my love for you. This is my favorite picture of you of all time. I think Caroline took it. Your smile lights up my entire world. Whenever my friends see your picture they ask, "Who is that handsome boy with the best smile?" I can't wait until the day you realize how ridiculously handsome you are. My favorite thing to do is watch you on the soccer field.
