The Do Lectures

Anjali giving her Do Lecture Photo by Richard Beaven

Hello dear readers,

These last couple of days have been a whirlwind and for whatever reason I've stayed away from technology, other than a few updates and videos here and there on our Facebook Fan Page! (Thanks for all the love over there.)

Traveling with Anjali has been the gift of a life-time.  Other than a few nail biting moments when we got flagged at customs and border patrol, it's been smooth and fun, with lots of giggles and new discoveries; sweet flight attendants, escalators, elevators, yummy meals, and the most kind hearted people and beautiful friends.

The Do Lectures USA, were amazing!!!  I have to admit I was crazy anxious about this whole thing. But when Anjali stood up at the podium with so much grace and poise and honesty, I realized how important it was that her story was shared, just the way she wanted, wrote, and worked so hard on.  I've never ever felt so proud and in typical Maggie fashion, I sat in the third row crying my eyes out. (We will be sharing it with you soon.) Big special thanks to Anna and Duke for creating so much magic and beauty and making us feel right at home.

We're ending our California Adventure with a bang here in Fairfield and all of you northern Californians are invited! (Details below)  Please do join us if you can. We're working on our Wishlist and raising funds for our newest project, Kopila High School!

Thanks and Love,

It was such a delight to have Maggie and Anjali in our home and share some "down" time with them.
Our fundraiser was a huge a success thanks to Donna Davidson and Mary Reynolds for the donation of their wonderful jewelry.
Zenda and Randy Benning for the use of their home and garden.
Robert Brower, Kristin Warner, Lisa Jones, Kristie Holden, Raine Tinglestad and Michele Nelson for the wonderful baked goods.
Niina Rollins for her amazing decorating skills.
Teri Accurso, Sophia Valentino, Tammy Gerard and Tina for all their extra hands...
And to all our great supporters, customers, clients, family and friends and especially to all the wonderful crafters in Nepal who make the wonderful products we sell- without all of you, our mission would be impossible.
I love you all!
And most of all to Maggie, for all the joy she brings to so many... just knowing her makes my life better- Cara

I'm waiting for the Anjali speech too. On that stage she's beautiful: I'm sure her words are important and beautiful at the same.
