a singing VLOG for you

I botched the translation here a little.  "Phool ko aka ma" means "From the eyes of a flower."  This is a popular Nepalese song written by the beautiful Tibetan Buddhist nun, Ani Choying Dolma.  This is one of my children's favorites! They sing it in satsung nearly every night before bed.

In the eyes of the flower, the world appears as flower
In the eyes of a thorn, the world appears as a thorn
The reflection takes place according to the shape of the object.

May my heart always be pure, May words always be enlightened
May the soles of my feet never kill even an insect.

In the beautiful eyes, the world is always beautiful.

In the eyes of the flower, the world appears as flower
In the eyes of a thorn, the world appears as a thorn

May I see the brightness of moon in the darkness of night,
May I hear music of life, even in the driest of leaves.
May I always see the world from the eyes of a flower.

**Native Nepalese can probably translate this much better!

Ani Choying Dolma explains the lyrics here.

Kalpana,

You are more beautiful than when I left you in December. I was racking my brain trying to figure out how Maggie was able to hook up not one, but two, microphones to the FlipCam... right up to the end of the Vlog when I realized you were both holding Magic Markers. You Stinker!
Love to all from Uncle Ed
