China wrap up

China and the Operation Smile conference have been awesome!  I'm at the airport now on my way back to Kathmandu.   Highlights of this trip have been climbing the Great Wall, and walking through the Forbidden City, getting to hang with my friend and fellow Do Something winner Jessica Posner, having a really cute little girl giggle at me while she watched my try to use chop-sticks AND speaking yesterday right before the one and only Jackie Chan.  The Operation Smile team and students on this trip are always the best and they inspire me to keep getting up there and sharing my story.  I feel really lucky for the opportunity to travel to Beijing this week.

Lots of love to everyone with Op Smile!  Fingers crossed for your up and coming medical mission scheduled for Kathmandu this fall.

I'm heading home!

1.3 billion people in China and not a single one of then in this picture !! How did you manage that?? Glad you had a great time. Have a safe trip back. I saw your talk on streaming video. It was wonderful and I loved the video you showed. I don't know if I told you but there is a girl near kopila with a cleft lip and she allowed me to look in her mouth and there appeared to be just a small opening in the roof of her mouth that may open into her nasal cavity, but anyway, food for thought, I would guess her to be about 11 or 12, tall by Nepali standards... smooth flying, send my best wishes to our friends in customs as you go through it at the airport on your way in, have a pizza for me at Fire & Ice... love you

Wow,

I saw Jackie Chan on Chinese TV (CCTV), here in the States, regarding Operation Simile. You must be somewhere in the background.

Keep up with the great work.
