on our way to a well

It feels like a miracle!  There is a well drill rig in Surkhet and Kopila Valley is next on the list to begin digging for our very own well!!!  This project has been two year in the making for me.  The truck and team are here visiting from India, mainly to drill a well for the local airport.  Tope became fast friends with the guys and negotiated his way to getting us on the list and in line.  Tope, my dad, Uncle Ed, and I drove up to the mountain yesterday to watch the drill work its' magic for a hotel up there.

The DRILL!!! visiting Nepal from IndiaUncle Ed, Dad, MeTope found the drill and moved us to the front of the line

It was such a fun morning and I'm not getting my hopes up yet, but the main contact guy is stopping by in the next few days when they're finished with their current project and he told me that we have a 99% chance of hitting water.  I like the sound of that.  More on our drill story here.

I am so happy... I am doing the water dance for you.
I will bring some Sawyer water filters for the house and school but I think in the future the whole house filter will make life easier at Kopila.
Check it out https://www.SawyerSafeTravel2.com/more.asp?pid=217
Let me know what you think and I will see what we can do to make it happen.... Also check out biogas on my site and watch the youtube video of the biogas latrine at the Kenya bus stop...Its pretty amazing. Your 300 students could produce a lot of good clean gas...See you all soon!
