today in pictures :)

Today was a no school day and just what I needed to get back into the swing of things here.  I walked downstairs this morning and found all of the women dancing in the kitchen.  This week we're celebrating the Nepali Teej Festival where women wear red saris and dance late into the night.  You can hear the drumming all over the village. The children and I spent the morning making friendship bracelets and listening to Natasha Bedingfield.  We love her.  And the kids said we sound alike... so not true but definitely the best compliment of my entire life!!

Little Miss Maya trying to hoard all of the letter beads of course.

Bishal and his new bling (made by karma)

We made paper planes and flew them from the balcony with our pilot friend King James.  (He put the king in front of his name and they totally bought it.)

We flew kites on the roof

We played an intense co-ed evening game of soccer.

It is so nice to be back to my little children's paradise and even better to be surrounded by so much...

THANK YOU to my cousin Margaret for all her sweet gifts <3

THANK YOU to Dr. Melissa for all the movies!!  We're watching The Indian in the Cupboard on the big screen tonight.
