itching to get home*

I am on my last and final leg of the trip which means one last flight and then a four hour drive.  I am itching to get home.  And speaking of itching, I had a terrible run in with some bed bugs last night. So. Not. Fun. Apparently there's an outbreak in Kathmandu too.  I had to throw out all of my clothes, a.k.a. Like the only two outfits that I brought. Please pray that none of them got into my backpack. More soon! xo, maggie

Wow! So, I actually clicked on the words bed bugs and read everything the mayo clinic had to offer. Thanks a bunch for that! I'm off to itch and scratch myself to sleep! LOL. Hope your bites heal quickly and you did not bring any home with you!

Hope you are back home safely by the time you read this. I am praying no bedbugs hitched a ride--that is too bad that they are in Kathmandu, too. Guess the US doesn't have the monopoly on them!
It is doubtful that you can put everything in a freezer for a couple of days (!) but that would kill those boogers and is probably the least toxic way to get rid of the hitchhikers.

Oooh nooooo!!! Can you empty your backpack and shake EVERYTHING out before you get back to Surkhet?
Guess I was pretty optimistic (and ignorant) when I thought you'd be home soon from the Delhi airport.... I'm going to hope now that the love you'll get soon will heal all itches..... Good luck!! oxoxox

Consider throwing out your backpack and anything in it that you don't absolutely have to keep, as well as the latest set of clothes you had to buy enroute home. It sounds extreme but unfortunately bedbugs are great travelers and once they settle in can be almost impossible to get rid of.

And by throwing out I mean immediately burning or taking to a (distant) garbage dump.

Why aren't you flying into Surkhet? Are you Loony Tunes?
