dreaming BIG**

Maggie and Sabita dreaming big!

My dear readers,

I have been dreaming for a while now of buying a vehicle for Kopila Valley and I wanted to share our latest fundraising endeavor with you all. With our ever growing family, plus the launch of the new school, clinic, and nutrition program we will be needing many supplies that we simply cannot continue to carry kilometers every day by foot. For the safety of the many additional children whom will be under our care every day as well as the children who live with us in our home in mind, I’m writing to ask for your help, to spread the word, chip in what you can, or if you’re really feeling up to it, do some fundraising with us! I’ve shared my notes with some of my board members, mentors and friends, one of them being the amazing Rebecca Self, (creator of The European Summit for Global Transformation), and in a flash she created this Chip in page!

We have reached the tipping point of needing a means of transportation to provide safe/efficient transport of daily sustenance and supplies and also as—I recently became aware—a mode of transportation for the children in the event of emergencies and strikes. This vehicle will not be a luxury but rather an absolute necessity as I carry out my duties as the legal guardian of 30 children as well as up to 300 students (from outlying areas) whom will be attending our new school.

Thank you for your ongoing support from all of us at Blink Now and Kopila Valley!

Have a wonderful weekend and please do visit our chip-in page to follow our progress with this

I'll be here dreaming big!

Love,

Maggie Doyne

I think I'm gonna have everybody start calling me The Amazing Rebecca... just because you do! Makes me smile every time. Look at that ChipIn grow!

I have to admit I'd never thought about how much you guys have to carry in the way of supplies. When you described carrying the flour, rice, etc. on your backs I had another one of those moments where the audacity of what you're doing hit me. You GO, girl! One day I promise I will come see the fruits of all your labor and play with the kids! How is Krishna doing?

Hey Maggie,
i was trying to put this widget of the car fund raiser for the kids but it dosent have facebook as one of the option she has myspace would you let me know how we can get it to post to a facebook page

Maggie - this is a much needed vehicle - The Daughters of the American Revolution have a school in tammassee South Carolina and they collect campbells soup labels - They have been ablt to purchase 7 Vans for their school with this method - maybe we should look into this and start collecting so that when you expand to a second or third van we can purchase one this way

Hey Staci, Just a fan writing to tell you that is so sweet you want to put it on a facebook/myspace page...

If you go here:
http://carforkopilavalley.chipin.com/a-car-for-kopila-valley-kids

You can post to facebook (or myspace) or anyplace on any blog by hitting the "COPY" button on the teensy box on the upper right hand corner of the page above the Orange "Chip in" button, just copy and paste what pops up and you can put this CHIPIN box anywhere. Good luck!

Dreaming Big.- car for Kopila Valley Children's Home

Good morning Maggie and all those darling children.

It's about time too. I don't know how you've coped all this time without one. I'll try and get my head around the chip-in process as I'm not very technically-minded. I'm sure this is only the first of several vehicles that you will eventually have. The children will love it. How about teaching your staff how to drive too. Now that really is empowering in a country like Nepal.

You are an absolute Angel.

I am happy to support the children and their caretakers, home and school, in memory of Buday.

May I suggest you contact the relevant embassies, e.g. in the case of a Toyota or Nissan, the Japanese Embassy, and so on and so forth. I'm sure they will be able to, indirectlty, help out.

It will be a pleasure to make a donation to this cause, to the children and everyone who takes very good care of them, providing them with safety, health and confidence to grow up to be, I believe, successful adults.

I would dedicate my contribution to Ubji, and to the memories of Bhukta's mother, Santosh's grandmother, and to the three children who passed away. Please tell Bhukta that the star up there in the sky is his mother watching over him and that she is very happy with what she sees. Likewise, Santosh's grandmother.

Hi Maggie,Steve, all your staff and all your supporters/sponcers/donators,

I`m amazed at all the great work you are doing, the school looks awesome, the kids look happy.

It brightens our day every time we read your blogs.

We are so happy to contribute and when you need a back up car and a school bus don`t be modest or humble Maggie please ask for what you need.

We are always happy to support :o)
