back to our regular programming

Dear Readers,

I've missed you! There has been so much excitement around here... new baby, Nicholas Kristof’s New York Times Magazine piece, and a house full of children all off from school for the month! If you are new to our blog, welcome! If you are an old friend, thank you for your faithful support.  Now for an update on what's been going on around here.

This week we had a huge birthday bash for all the October birthdays with an Action Hero themed party.  As you can see, even I got into it.

The boys and me during our action hero dance partyWe converted and decorated another girls bedroom and designated "room leaders and assistants" for each of the rooms.  In our house we have the blue room, the purple room, the pink room, the green room, and the downstairs nursery.  This is the new "yellow room!"

The Yellow RoomWe've been spending our mornings hanging in our new snazzy library with the fancy blue carpet reading away.

Library lovin' (almost complete)And mostly we spend the rest of our days play play playing.

Hansuraj, Bishal, Krishna boy and Maya

Shanti and her bear named "baby"

And as for our baby, his name is Namraj, and boy are we in love.  In a big big way.

Me and Namraj cutsiepoopsie (that's what we call him because he poops a lot and changing his diapers is not fun)

You would think there would be some sort of limit as to how many children your heart can actually love so deeply.  But I'm starting to think that maybe there isn't.  More soon.  More tomorrow.  xoxo

So thrilled to see you and the children on the cover of NY Times Magazine. I have been reading Kristof's book, Half the Sky, and think about how your girls will never have to know a life like those described in his book!

I'm convinced there is no limit to how many children (or people) we can love - but no-one proves it better in real life than you do. Thank you for showing us all that there is no limit to how big our love can be. xx
